Our project, LexiConquest, is a literary tool for middle and high school-aged students to help students experience a wealth of creativity and imagination through some of history’s most significant pieces of writing, all under the guise of a fun and strategic trading card computer game.

With a special emphasis on unique character design and emerging technology (including a touch-panel playing field and augmented reality graphics), LexiConquest allows players to construct their own decks (“libraries”) made up of such literary figures as King Arthur and Robin Hood to compete with other players. Reading comes into play through a number of fun quizzes and challenges a player can try out in order to enhance the abilities and strengths of their favorite characters; the more they read and learn, the more powerful their characters become.
